Benefits and dangers of the internet to children.

Today internet develops very fast that we can not imagine our life completely without the internet. Internet from the meaning “the net of spider” has already occupied our lives with its' net news, information, and variety of possibilities and other things. As everything has its' benefits and downsides   internet also is not exception. At the same time internet has a great deal of consequences too, but one thing that depends only us is the way which we are using it. The users of the internet among children are increasing consequently nowadays. For what they are using the internet? Why today’s children are floating a lot in the internet than it was before? They are trying to take new information, and downloading different kind of games movies and other things.  There are a lot of bad news, movies, and games in the internet that causes bad features for the life of children. We should know some pros and cons of the internet:

  Children will forget books and they will start never using them. Instead of it they will start using find something from the internet instead of the books;

  Wasting time in the internet is also considered danger; because of it children will face with the problem that lack of time;

 

Chatting endlessly in Internet chat rooms, gossiping also bad features of the internet;

Surfing web sites for fun instead of doing home tasks;

Children can be cheated by con artists who advertise seductive products on the Internet.

Children can become addicted to the Internet.

 











 

The benefits of the internet for children are:

 Children can save their photos in blogs;

They will see their relatives in abroad with help of webcam;

They will be educated by the online if they are not able to go to school;

 They will download interesting things that develops their skills;

Children are growing with the internet and nowadays generation is very educated and I think the iternet is playing main role in this siuation.

 

Advantages and disadvantages of the computer.

Computers are beneficial to students with special needs. Through programs and certain lessons devoted to children with specific limitations, they can have the ability to perform tasks and learn things that they could not normally do. This can be accessed at any time by the children, unlike a special needs worker. However, by simply teaching a special needs child through computers, they do not obtain the interaction needed for social skills, which can place them at a disadvantage.

 In today's world it has almost become compulsory to have a working knowledge of computers. You hear bewildering stories of fourteen year olds who hack into the Pentagon computers, or teenagers who create software worth millions and are touted as the technological giants of tomorrow. Most schools teach computer programming as a regular part of the curriculum. It is impossible to prevent children from becoming computer savvy (and we don't want to either) but then it becomes incumbent upon parents to be aware of all the ramifications of having computer literate children. 

Computers are excellent learning tools because the multimedia makes education fun as well as informative. Infact computer training institutes especially for children are mushrooming all over the country. There are also many CDRoms available, specially designed as learning tools for children of different age groups. They teach through games, activities and multimedia. They are excellent in the classroom, and home, as a supplement to the normal teaching process. The problem begins when the use of computers spills over into the child's leisure time. The time that should be spent with family or in healthy physical activity or in reading or some other hobby is spent at the computer. Also a computer tends to isolate a child making him less social and interactive.  

Advantages:

     - Computers are extremely fast

     - Computers are very accurate

     -  Computers can keep large amounts of information in a small space

     - Computers work continuously for 24 hours a day.

     - Computers can do some jobs that would be impossible without them

Disadvantages:

     - Computers replace people in employment

     - Computers hold personal information which may be misused.
